Responsibly sourced raw materials at Chris Rauch
Recycled precious metals
Recycling existing precious metals conserves natural resources and reduces the need for new gold mining. This significantly reduces the environmental impact associated with primary gold extraction.
A significant portion of the world's processed gold comes from the recycling of old jewelry.
Approximately 60 to 70 tons of gold are recycled annually – a significantly more ecologically responsible approach compared to traditional mining, which continues to rely heavily on environmentally harmful substances such as mercury or arsenic.
Responsibility regarding material and origin
The selection of precious metals used plays a central role for Chris Rauch. The focus is on recycled precious metals and raw materials from traceable and responsible supply chains.
Reference and processing
Chris Rauch uses precious metals from Agosi AG as standard, a reputable company that is a member of the Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC).
Agosi processes exclusively recycled gold and does not accept newly mined gold – an active contribution to reducing environmental pollution and overexploitation.
In addition, certified, environmentally friendly mined gold deposits from Lapland (Finland) are used in selected individual pieces.
This gold is mined by hand in compliance with the strictest environmental criteria – a rare example of responsible mining in harmony with nature.
All diamonds used are of course conflict-free and comply with international standards of ethical origin.
My goal is to collect the most beautiful gemstones from around the world and to create unique, extraordinary art in the form of exquisite jewelry.
Unique wearable art created from Mother Earth's masterpieces combined with precious metals as a synergy between cosmos and nature.
